  • I expected something different.

    Over the years I've supported Grace's online presence and her original 'brand' of comedy. I found her earnest, and refreshing and genuinely comedic in a way that was sincere and unlike other youtubers "forced funny". Maybe it's just me but her unique style doesn't translate to this book. It was a bit of a bore, and overall not very funny, or clever. Although it was written in that wry way she comes off in her videos, it left me wanting more. I can honestly say this is delivered as a series of lists, and offhanded advice that might appeal to someone but not to me. As a millennial who is making career and overall life advancement post college, what I assume is her target audience, I didn't find it particularly enlightening either I can honestly say the foreword by her brother Tim was the funniest part of the book, now there's a book I would read!
