    This book moves quickly. No long drawn out boring spots while the plot builds, just a smooth exciting flow. The characters are strong, smart supernaturals of a "different sort". Well done.

    I enjoyed the story a lot and love supernatural and paranormal books best. I just don't understand why all paranormal writers feel the need to have to carry over the story so much more than other topics. A contemporary or historical ends the existing characters story and continues the series with side characters this would be a GREAT story if the author had done it. Instead the story characters are still left hanging with you not knowing so much about how their story ends. So it was enjoyable and partially ended but still left a lot as a cliff hanger.

    This was a great read. I could not put it down. This is the 2nd book of Crowe’s that I have read and it did not disappoint. At first i thought it would be boring. It sounded so much like Beauty and the Beast. I am glad that it was a truly original story and the resemblence to beauty and the beast was only evident in the beginning. Greaty lore, and the characters were very likeable.

Will beauty and love prevail, taming the beast once and for all? Ella is determined to not like or help Lucien in any way after he manipulated her to stay with him. Lucien is determined to save his people and their future, no matter the cost. Neither one realizes their hearts are on the line as well. They must only survive the invading vampires and many supernatural creatures determined to kill all Myotis. I think Ella and Lucien are my favorite couple. I am sad to see there will be no more in this series. I would have liked to have seen all the couples come together and fight off the invaders. I am sure Clara and all the wives would be an integral part of the conclusion. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
